Upon submission of household Pet Profile applications or the review process of Assistance Animal accommodation requests, your housing provider will receive a copy of your Pet Profile for each animal that includes name, breed, age, pictures, vaccines, behavioral information and Assistance Animal documentation (when applicable).
How long does the screening process take after my Pet Profile application is submitted?
A household pet profile has an instantaneous turn around time. The review time for Assistance Animal accommodation requests is usually 24-business hours. If the review time takes longer, this likely means our Legal Review Team is waiting for validation from your third-party verifier or more information is needed from you to complete the validation.
Can changes be made to a Pet Profile after it’s created?
Yes! Pet Owners can update their completed and draft Pet Profiles at any time by logging in to their account at, selecting the Pet Profile and then clicking the pencil icon next to the section of the Pet Profile that they want to edit.

Changes cannot be made to an Assistance Animal profile during the review process unless additional information is requested by our Legal Review Team.

How do you validate Assistance Animal Accommodation Requests?
When the animal owner submits a housing-related accommodation request, they must include documentation from a third-party verifier (this includes, but is not limited to, mental health professionals, social workers, or medical doctors). The documentation must affirm the animal owner has a disability and a disability-related need for the animal. Our legal team contacts the third-party verifier to validate this documentation, and we always strive to review profiles in 24-business hours. If the review time takes longer, this likely means our team is waiting for validation from the third-party verifier or more information is needed from the animal owner.
What qualifies as documentation for an Assistance Animal? Are you allowed to ask for this information?
We follow the Fair Housing Act (FHAct) guidelines regarding reasonable housing accommodation requests for assistance animals. The FHAct provides that reliable and credible documentation that meet the test of reasonableness may be requested. The documentation must affirm the animal owner has a disability and a disability-related need for the animal. Third party documentation such as, but not limited to, a letter from a medical doctor, social worker, or mental health professional are acceptable sources of documentation.

For more information, we provide a list of HUD, ADA and FHAct resources on our website at
