Our patent pending and proprietary FIDO Score™ is included with each Pet Profile. This score is intended to help a housing provider better understand the housing related risk for each pet and pet owner. It can be used to generate additional pet rents/fees/deposits, if desired. (Note: Assistance animals do not receive a FIDO Score™.)

AA Review Process

The AA Review Process workflow provides the property manager the ability to create an internal assistance animal reviewer(s) for the purpose of having the final review of PetScreening’s reasonable accommodation request determination.

Note: If the property manager wants to automatically review and accept PetScreening’s reasonable accommodation request review determination, then no action is needed. This workflow is pre-set for the property manager to automatically review and accept PetScreening’s determination.

To find these settings within your PetScreening account, click Settings from the top menu, then click AA Review Process.

Property managers have the option to set the Approval Type and Review Time for each Profile Status. By default, the Approval Type is Automatic and Review Time is 8 hrs.

(Note: Account Admins over sub-accounts can allow sub-account users access to change the Assistance Animal Review Process configuration for their region, property, segment. etc.) 

Profile Status Types

Recommended: The information provided by the requester meets the review qualifications based on FHAct / HUD guidelines.

Conditionally Recommended: The information provided by the requester conditionally meets the review qualifications based on FHAct / HUD guidelines, but there is an item on the assistance animal profile that may need additional attention. For example, a vaccination record may need to be updated and the veterinarian appointment is scheduled or perhaps the third-party medical provider’s office is closed due to a natural disaster (flooding, virus pandemic, etc.) and the requester needs immediate occupancy.

Not Recommended: The information provided by the requester did not meet the review qualifications based on FHAct / HUD guidelines.

Waiting on Animal Owner: This status is used when the Requester (animal owner) needs to provide additional information for the review process and the PetScreening assistance animal review team is waiting on the Requester’s response and resubmission before they can continue the review. (Note: Approval Type cannot be adjusted for this status)

Approval Type

Automatic vs. Manual

Automatic: You want to automatically review and accept PetScreening’s reasonable accommodation request review determination. This approval type has a faster turnaround time.

Manual: You want the ability to create an internal assistance animal reviewer(s) for the purpose of having the final review of PetScreening’s reasonable accommodation request determination. The manual review period is set for the time frame within the Review Time column.

Review Time

For Manual Approval Types, select a review time frame of 8-hrs, 12-hrs, 24-hrs, or No Clock. This sets the amount of time your team has to review and take action regarding PetScreening’s reasonable accommodation request determination and before the request status is finalized.

If no action is taken within the 8-hrs, 12-hrs, or 24-hrs time frames to select a status, the PetScreening reasonable accommodation request determination will be sent to the parties.

Profile types set with a No Clock Review Time will remain pending until action is taken by the property manager’s internal assistance animal reviewer(s.)

Billing

If PetScreening accepts your request to join the invoice billing program then you can update your Billing settings to invoice you, the property management company. This will activate a payment token that you will provide to each of your household pet applicants. When your household pet applicants click the Proceed to Payment button at the top of their profile, they will need to enter this token code where prompted to bypass the payment and activate their profile. Not all property management companies are eligible for this billing option and must be accepted by PetScreening into the billing program.

Billing Method

If PetScreening accepts your request to join the invoice billing program and you have the Billing settings enabled for you (the service provider) to pay, PetScreening will send an invoice to you for payment (on a 30 day cycle), and the invoice can be paid by credit card through our portal.
